Writing has never been one of my strengths in school. Last semester I took English 103. I was required to write a lot of papers in this class. One paper that really sticks out in my mind was about gun control. This paper was a research paper, and also I had to give an informative speech over the topic. This was probably the best paper I have ever written in my life. The reason I think it was a successful paper was because I enjoyed the topic I was writing about.
The process I used in writing this paper was the loop writing process. I first brainstormed over my topic. I wrote down things I already knew, and then researched through books and the internet. I then created an outline. After my outline was completed I wrote two drafts, and then I wrote my final draft. While writing this paper and all of my other papers I do listen to music. The music I find that helps me concentrate the most is O.A.R. I usually do write my papers the night before, but I could not write this paper the night before since I had to write multiple drafts. I had two fellow classmates edit my paper. I then revised it and turned it in to my professor.
